Hello Bounty Hunter metal detector fans! I thought I'd start sharing some basic tips and tricks about metal detecting on this blog as some members of the Bounty Hunter posse are new to detecting. Oh let's not fool ourselves, we Bounty Hunter veterans have many a skills yet unlearned or we've just plum forgotten others.

I'm going to treat these "How To Metal Detect Tips and Tricks" posts as a sort of Metal Detecting 101 class. Many Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors are compatible with the older, first generation Fisher Coils. It's a well known fact that Fisher Research Labs, Teknetics and Bounty Hunter metal detectors are all owned and manufactured by First Texas Products.

With that being said, it is no wonder that many of the Bounty Hunter metal detectors can benefit from an upgraded coil from the Fisher brand of metal detectors.
